Tap the Glass
Invited by CUPRA to reinterpret the steering wheel beyond its function, TAP THE GLASS explores its symbolic power as a link between human and machine — and more broadly, between intention and action.

The installation presents a steering wheel enclosed within a transparent glass cube, paired with an emergency hammer. The object is visible, almost within reach, yet separated by a thin, fragile surface that introduces a decisive condition: to remain passive, or to break through.

This tension lies at the core of the piece. The glass becomes both a barrier and a threshold — a moment of hesitation where action requires risk and commitment.

At the same time, its reflective surface confronts the viewer with their own image. The question shifts inward: what prevents us from acting? What keeps us from taking control?

TAP THE GLASS is not about the steering wheel as an object, but as a symbol — of freedom, choice, and the moment where intention becomes action.
